This lovely 11th century castle for holiday rental in the Chianti Classico area is a tiny, medieval hamlet located at 10 km from Gaiole in Chianti. Built around the year 1000 by the noble family of Guidi, today it is an esteemed wine estate with self catering holiday apartments, where visitors can relax and enjoy a unique atmosphere enclosed in wonderful scenery. The hamlet is on the slope of a hill, at 450 m height above sea level, surrounded by a breathtaking scenery made of gently rolling hills, dotted with vineyards, olive groves as well as oak and chestnut woods, and reached by a practicable 4km dirt road. All accommodations have private outdoor space and internet connection. Most apartments are in the old castle, while some are in a building close to the swimming-pool at 200 mt from the main building. On the grounds, guests also have access to the restaurant, made out of an ancient oil mill, where one can enjoy typical local dishes together with the wine made on the estate.
In a perfect combination between comfort and tradition, here guests can enjoy nature, discover Chianti, go horse riding and wine tasting. This stunning large apartment of 80 sqm for 5 people is located in the medieval castle, near the restaurant and the reception, and at 200 meters from the swimming pool. On the ground floor, it consists of a living room with stone fireplace, a single sofa bed, Sat TV, a dining area and a kitchen corner (oven, fridge, toaster, kettle). Three steps lead to the bedroom area: one double bedroom, one twin bedroom, and one bathroom with shower. Hair dryer and internet Wi-Fi connection available. In the garden there is a private sitting area with gazebo, for al fresco dining, and a view over the vineyard.
